Most people never touch their equaliser. Not because they don’t care how music sounds, but because the distance between “I want more bass” and “boost 80 Hz by 3 dB” is a job, not a pleasure.
Auto-EQ closes that distance. STELLARvibe reads the track you are about to hear, recognises what kind of music it is, and loads a curve built for it in about 180 milliseconds — before the first beat lands, not thirty seconds into the song. There are 17 tuned presets. It needs no account, and only the song title and artist are looked up.
What an automatic equaliser actually changes
A manual EQ holds whatever you last set. A curve you built for hip-hop is still loaded when a piano piece starts, and it is the wrong shape for it. Auto-EQ moves with the music instead. A few of the curves:
None of it is locked. Every preset can be edited by hand and saved, and if you build something you like, Share EQ turns it into a link or a QR code so someone else can load your exact curve into their own app.

What is Auto-EQ?
Auto-EQ is a feature of the STELLARvibe app for STELLAR FlyPods earbuds. It identifies the genre of the track you are about to play and loads a matching EQ curve automatically, in about 180 milliseconds, so the tuning is already right before the first beat. There are 17 tuned presets, and only the song title and artist are looked up to find the genre.
How is Auto-EQ different from an equaliser I set myself?
A manual equaliser holds one curve until you change it, so a setting tuned for hip-hop stays loaded through a piano piece. Auto-EQ changes the curve as the music changes, without you touching anything. You can still edit any preset by hand and save it.
Do Auto-EQ earbuds need an internet connection?
Only to look up the genre: the song title and artist are checked against public online music databases — no audio, no account, nothing stored by us. You can switch Auto-EQ off at any time.
Can I share an EQ preset with someone else?
Yes. Share EQ turns any curve you have made into a link or QR code. Whoever opens it gets your exact settings loaded into their own STELLARvibe app.
